The Ironside Community strives to foster a sense of well-being and support, ensuring that children feel confident and involved in their learning experiences. We hold ourselves to these standards based on three core components:
Philosophy
Ironside OSHC is committed to providing a quality service where
- The children’s physical, emotional and social needs are met in a safe, caring and supportive environment
- Programs are designed to cater to the children’s age, skill, interests and abilities through a variety of challenging and recreational activities
- Children, parents and staff are treated with respect and their individual uniqueness is acknowledged and valued
- The centre encourages parental and community participation. We welcome open discussion on all issues relevant to the centre’s operation
Mission Statement
To be a quality provider of outside school hours care that is fun, caring, educational, nurturing and rewarding at a reasonable cost. We will service Ironside State School and the wider community in outside school hours care for children aged 4 (Prep) to 12 years.
Belief
We believe that as children spend 6 hours per day in a school environment, it is important to offer a service that gives them time to relax in a safe environment and to interact with each other on many different levels.
