2018 P&C Transfer Questions

Is there priority of access for existing families or an internal waitlist?

No. The P&C enrolment priority of access follows the government guidelines, and then the wait list will be formed by chronological  order of receipt of  Application Request.

If I have a booking do I still need to enrol in October or will my booking roll over?

All ICASAG bookings will end on 14th December 2018. All families, including families with current bookings, will need to enrol with the P&C in October.

Will ICASAG email the families the Enrolment Application form, or where will the form be?

ICASAG will send communications and reminders about the new P&C enrolment process. Families will be required to access the enrolment documents themselves, however a link to the location of the enrolment documents will be sent as part of communications.

The Enrolment Application form will be available from 17th September on the Ironside State School website on the Our Community tab. You will have time to read and understand this document before it is able to be submitted on 10th October  2018.

When can I apply?

The Enrolment Application forms will be accepted on 10th October 2018. Applications submitted before the link is active will not be processed.

How do I find out what my CCS percentage and hours per fortnight are so I know which priority I am in?

When you were assessed for the Child Care Subsidy you were sent a Child Care Assessment notice which has a table showing these details. Your assessment notice was also sent to your myGov account inbox. You can access the Centrelink Child Care Subsidy website to help understand your assessment notice.

What are your operating hours?

Our hours of operation are as follows:

Before School Care                                   7:00 am – 9:00 am
After School Care                                      3:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Vacation Care                                             7:00 am – 6:00 pm

 

How much does it cost?

Our fees of operation are as follows:

Before School Care: 
Occasional care – $13.00 per child
(Any child booked within 14 days of care)
Booked – $10.00 per child
(Regular care booked with 14 days notice required for bookings and cancellations)

After School Care: 
Occasional care – $27.00 per child
(Any child booked within 14 days of care)
Booked – $22.00 per child
(Regular care booked with 14 days notice required for bookings and cancellations)

Vacation Care/Student Free Day: 
Vacation care booked – $45.00 per day
(Bookings close one week prior to vacation care beginning, unless stated otherwise on the booking form)
Vacation care casual – $52.00 per day
(This is for care booked after the booking date)

Please note that on some days there may be a surcharge to cover events and extra activities

How do I get my child on the wait list?

Please visit the Bookings and Enrollments page to access booking information. Please note: There is currently a very long wait list and care is very limited. It may take up to 12 months to be offered a booking.

What happens if I am late in picking up my child?

As per ICASAG policy, for children picked up after 6:00PM, the extra care fee is $40.00 for every 15 minutes or part thereof, and will be added to the family’s fees for the term as an “Extra Care Fee”. This is due to staffing requirements as two members of the ICASAG team are required to stay past 6.00PM

Due to unforeseen circumstances, my child cannot attend before or after school care today, what can I do?

As cancellation of permanent bookings require a 14 day notification beforehand, and casual bookings require 48 hours notification beforehand. Bookings cannot be refunded if less than the required notice is given.

Staff at ICASAG have to spend time checking that each child is safe. If staff have to spend time to contact you when your child is absent but you have not informed us a non-communication fee of $5.00 will be charged.
